This card is made from plantable seed paper, a biodegradable eco-paper that is made from post-consumer materials and embedded with seeds.

When the paper is planted in soil, and tended in the right way, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind are beautiful flowers which have been carefully selected to provide a valuable source of nectar for visiting butterflies, bees, hoverflies and other insects.

The seeds are high quality non–GMO seeds, included in the flower seed mix are;
Clarkia elegans – flowers June – August
Rudbeckia hirta (Black-eyed Susan) – flowers July – October
Bellis perennis (Daisy) – flowers February – October
Lobularia maritima (Sweet Alyssum) - flowers June – September
Linaria maroccana (Toadflax) – flowers June – August
Silene (Campion) flowers March – November
Gilia – flowers March - September

The seed paper is made from post consumer waste, which means that it is made from used paper which has been collected from businesses, schools etc and recycled back into paper.

During the process flower seeds are added, producing a paper which when planted and tended correctly will compost away leaving behind nothing but beautiful flowers. These flowers will go on to provide vital food for our wildlife.
