About Le Jardin Perdu
Le Jardin Perdu is nestled in the hills of the Millevache National Park, in the Limousin region of France. Since moving to La Corrèze I have been writing my blog Le Jardin Perdu all about the Trials and Tribulations of gardening in France.
I love writing about gardening and the wildlife and wildflowers I come across here in France and have created a range of luxury gifts, handcrafted here at Le Jardin Perdu, specially tailored to gardeners and wildlife lovers.
The gifts bring together natural, handmade products from artisans around France; a ‘transplantoir coeur’ heartshaped trowel beautifully handmade in the Loir et Cher; natural soaps made in the Dordogne; and bath salts and soy candles from the Hérault.
Each gift is presented in my unique, eco-friendly Le Jardin Perdu plantable wildflower seed paper packaging which when planted outside, composts away completely and will leave behind nothing but beautiful flowers. The flowers have been carefully chosen to provide a valuable source of nectar for bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other insects visiting your garden to enjoy.
I have tried to make the gifts as eco-friendly as possible, with as much of the packaging as possible being made from the plantable seed paper; the soap belly wraps, the bath salt box, the Le Jardin Perdu tag, and even the shredded filler which lines the basket are all plantable.
The tissue paper used is acid free and biodegradable and the cellophane outer wrapping is recyclable.
I’m not a fan of gifts which come in useless boxes, ones which have no other use and end up being thrown away, so I have made sure that each of the baskets the gifts are presented in are useful, thus forming part of the gift.
